Introducing the Gut…

It’s amazing to know was a fantastic organ the gut is, a huge muscle literally squeezing the goodness out of your natural, healthy food sources.

What the gut also has to contend with, is being the first point of contact with the outside food source for your body.  The gut wall provides you with ONE cell layers protection for your body, from outside bacteria, including bacteria that feeds on food!

With 75% of your body’s immunity found in your gut, it holds more white blood cells than any other part of the body.

Knowing that you have one cell layer between you and attack from bacteria, this should remind us all to not only rely on our gut as the ultimate shield but our plate too.  What you put on your plate should be defended fiercely.  As what goes on your plate will most likely make it’s way to your gut.

Be on your guard and search for those green, natural, wholesome foods that have been provided for us in abundance.
